Pro Auto Rubber Pinetown caters for and is inspired by local interest and requirements. Our philosophy is that no client is too big or too small for us to assist. We cater to smaller clients because they become major players later on. 

Through experience, we have learned what the pitfalls are and how to overcome them. People are the strength of our company. Although we are not unique in the South African market, our approach is. We are a company with local, passionate people who understand the local market and have a clear vision of our way forward.

Pro Auto Rubber has over the years grown into one of the largest South African players in specializing in the supply of rubber extrusions, flocking profiles, co-extruded rubber profiles, mouldings, rubber and seal kits. All of these are able for use with various makes of vehicles and rubber insertions, grommets and hoses.

When the company was formed, we focused mainly on the automotive industry, and through the years we have been able to venture into various different aspects of the rubber industry. This makes it possible for the expansion of innovation, technology and skills into the folds of our family.

We have strategically placed branches throughout South Africa ensuring the best quality and efficient service to all our customers. We strive to the best in the business and stick to our slogan of “Total Sealing Solutions.”

Where we distribute:

Our current client base is distributed over the whole of South Africa, with focal points in Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Western Cape, KwaZulu Natal and Orange Free state.

However, with our increased capacity and superior quality products we are able to supply overseas clients to the exacting standards that they demand

How is rubber made?

Raw materials are mixed in the mixing plant. These combine to form what is known as compound, or then raw synthetic rubber. This is taken to the extruder where a die for the specific extrusion is fitted.

The rubber is pushed through the die and is then fed into the curing line, where it is first cured by microwave and then by heat. At the end of the line the cured and finished product is coiled and then delivered.

Proautorubber is part of a much larger family and is supplied by possibly the largest rubber manufacturer in South Africa. Our manufacturer has modern highly efficient microwave curing extrusion lines that ensure the consistent production of high-quality extrusions. Their state of the art compression and transfer moulding presses are used to manufacture large quantities of gaskets and grommets to exacting standards.

Their Mixing plant is modern and highly effective and we mix EPDM, EPDM sponge, SBR, NBR, Nitrile and Neoprene.

Throughout the production process quality is ensured by using Shadowgraph Abrasion testers, Flock testers, Bond testing equipment, Chemical analyzers, Rheo meters, Mooney Viscometers and Tensile testers.

The factory has ISO 9001 certification, ensuring high-quality products and service to our clients.
